DTF Application Instructions
How To Press
It is VERY important you follow the below instructions to ensure the best finish on your HOT PEEL DTF transfers.
- Mark your item where you want the transfer to go and place it onto the heat press ensuring it is nice and flat with no seams or buttons etc. on the platen.
- Pre-press your items for 5 seconds to ensure it is perfectly flat and also to allow it to already be warm, which will help the transfer hold while peeling transfer film off.
- Position your DTF design carefully onto the item where you marked it and press for 7-10 Seconds at 150°C with firm pressure.
- Peel film in a quick and careful manner (within 10 seconds of release).
- Press again for 7-10 seconds at 150° C to ensure the transfer is embedded properly.
Important Information
- DO NOT use an iron or domestic Heat Press INCLUDING any HTVRONT Heat Presses (they are not strong enough!!!)
- USE ONLY commercial Heat Presses with firm pressure (do your own research on different types of fabric before pressing)
- Failing to apply or care for these transfers correctly could result in a number of issues including scorched garments, peeling, cracking and a shortened life.
- If you are new, please take some time to learn the process and what works best with the equipment you have.
- If you are on-selling your items, make it clear to your customers what to do and what not to do, and also give them the correct washing techniques.
- Visit our care instructions page here for correct washing techniques on garments.
- We DO NOT take responsibility for peeling and/or cracking due to incorrect pressing methods from improper technique or equipment. This includes incorrect care for the garments / items these are pressed onto, resulting in shortened life span.
