DTF APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
It is VERY important you follow the below instructions to ensure the best finish on your HOT PEEL DTF transfers.
- Place your garment onto your heat press, ensuring it is nice and flat with no seams or buttons on the platen (use a heat press pillow if needed).
- Pre-press your garment for 5-10 seconds to warm up the area. This is to ensure it is perfectly flat and ironed out, which helps the transfer bond better and quicker to make the peeling process much easier.
- Position your DTF design carefully onto the item, and press for 7-10 Seconds at 150°C with firm pressure.
- Peel the film in a quick and careful manner as soon as the press has released (you can also let these transfers cool down which can make the peeling process easier if you are not confident to peel it while warm).
- Press again for 7-10 seconds at 150° C to ensure the transfer is embedded correctly to ensure long lasting prints!
Important Information
- DO NOT use an iron or domestic Heat Press INCLUDING any HTVRONT Heat Presses (they are not strong enough!)
- USE ONLY commercial Heat Presses with firm pressure (do your own research on different types of fabric before pressing)
- Failing to apply or care for these transfers correctly could result in a number of issues including scorched garments, peeling, cracking and a shortened life.
- If you are new to DTF or Hot Peel DTF transfers, please take some time to learn the process and what works best with the equipment you have (use one of our free sample packs to strengthen your confidence).
- If you are on-selling your items, make it clear to your customers what to do and what not to do, and also give them the correct washing techniques.
- Visit our care instructions page here for correct washing techniques on garments.
- We DO NOT take responsibility for peeling and/or cracking due to incorrect pressing methods from improper technique or equipment. This includes incorrect care for the garments / items these are pressed onto, resulting in shortened life span.
